Step 1
Securing your Members Area
Step 1.1
Download the latest version of
Memberfire from your Memberfire.com members' area. Unzip the
zipped file and locate the folder "Installers" and choose
which level of membership should you use.
If you only need one level, you should
use "install-memberfire.php"
NOTE: If you want
to secure different levels of memberships, use the correct
installation file.
install-free.php for a free
membership
install-bronze.php for a bronze membership
install-silver.php for a silver membership
install-gold.php for a gold membership
install-diamond.php for a diamond membership
It's your choice of membership
levels.
Step 1.2
Upload the installation file
(i.e. install-memberfire.php" to your root folder. Then run
the file by going to the URL.
Example: http://YourDomainName.com/install-memberfire.php
Step 1.3
Fill-up the form on the
Memberfire Installation Panel.
The following examples are
proven to work on a web hosting account with cPanel. If you
are installing Memberfire to an
add-on domain,
please follow this forum thread.
a) Your Website URL: http://www.YourDomainName.com
b) Host Name: www.YourDomainName.com
c) FTP User Name: (your FTP user name)
d) Password: (your FTP password)
e) You can leave the following on default:
Root Folder, Members-Only Folder,
Location of the Admin Panel and CGI-BIN
f) Your Name: your Full Name or Company Name
g) Primary Email Address: your email address or Support
email
(the installation details will also be sent to this email)
h) Admin Password: your choice of password to the Admin
Panel
(6 characters)
Step 1.4
Click
"Create Membership
Site!" and Important URLs of your new membership site will
be generated. Save these details.
Step 1.5
Go to your FTP program and
open the "public_html/memberfire/" folder. This is the
secured Members-Only Area.
NOTE: If you
secured different levels of memberships, your secured
Members-Only Area(s) are:
"public_html/free/" for a free
membership
"public_html/bronze/" for a bronze membership
"public_html/silver/" for a silver membership
"public_html/gold/" for a gold membership
"public_html/diamond/" for a diamond membership

lost my password to Memberfire.com?
A. You can retrieve your password
here.
Q. Do I
need to create a directory FIRST before I secure it?
A. Yes you can do it and CHMOD that to 777. BUT Memberfire
will do it for you AUTOMATICALLY in Step 1.3e.
Q. I want someone to install the
software for me.

Please contact your
web hosting provider to know why your server is not allowing
Memberfire to install. If you don't have a web hosting with
cPanel, we highly suggest that you get a web hosting with
cPanel which is used by 99.9% of webmasters.
